21st Birthday.

Another day, another birthday, 21.

I didn't really have a good actual 21st, but I had an awesome party the day after.

Was supposed to blog about this like at least last week but I was sooo busy and tired with work and school, given that I had NO break at all after the last exam which fell on my actual birthday. Which made it sucky.

15th Nov.

Was surprised near midnight with a box of presents from my sister, haha she couldn't wait to give it to me. Really thankful for the amount of stuff she bought me, make up stuff mostly.

Next morning woke up to have lunch and then studied abit before heading down to school to cram for exam at 7pm. Was honestly real sucky because there weren't any past year papers we could count on and do. School is so fucked up. At least give us last year's practice paper la. Okay fine, realised they couldn't because the paper had the EXACT same essay questions as last years. But c'mon, you want people to pass right... give us a past year paper lah! = =

So... before the paper, was cramming, Denise bought me a cake. HAHA so nice of her and I was nearly forced to blow 1 candle out 21 times. Look at that tired face. LOL.

So 7pm, doomsday. I looked at the paper. MCQ was HELL. and the essay questions? Took me eons to decide which one to do... I only pray that I pass. I pass I will be very happy.

Rushed home after and went to pack my stuff before mum and dad sent me down with Ain to the chalet.

Mag, Royston, Elena and Moses were there, and they gave me a surprise birthday cake after my parents left! So sweet of them. Sorry I don't have any photos of it ... lol.

Moses and Mag went home cos Mag couldn't stay and Moses had work next morning.

Anyway, had trouble sleeping that night cos not used to it.

16th November.

Woke up at 11 am? Changed and went out with Ain to have lunch while Elena and Royston went home first.

Slacked around till 1pm then started on the photo collage.

Showered at 3pm and chilled like till 430pm and started getting things ready.

Party started at 630pm.

I can't say anything much about the party because it was so hectic :( Sorry to everyone who came I wasn't a very good host :( Well, the society people got self entertained by the 2 birdies my sister brought from home so it gave me a chance to go and entertain my other guests.

All in all, I really wanna thank everyone for your well wishes and presents, I appreciate them all very much, thank you for taking time to come down all the way to pasir ris to celebrate my birthday. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and the food and the cupcakes!

The people missing was my dear Carissa stuck in Australia, waiting for grad. Weisheng on course. Weijie in Germany. Carmen who was very exhausted from work. Kahho on duty. Eujin last minute cant make it. Yubin can't make it.

After the party was over, or rather my parents left, we started opening the beer and apple cider. And I didnt bring ANY bottle opener. So someone found a way, using the backdoor knob to open. Moses was opening the bottles and suddenly, his glasses cracked because the bottle cap had bounced off onto his glasses. Thank God he was wearing glasses. If not his eyes... I really don't know what could have happened.. :(

So the society people started playing with my helium balloons and sucking in the helium (again making me worry wth), and after they were done like most people started leaving except Moses friends. We went to go bowling and then went back to the chalet and the guys played poker till 3am... then we went to sleep.


17th November.

Thank God my parents came to pick me, if not I really do not know how to bring back the whole bunch of presents and unopened drinks back home...

Many firsts.

Today was a day of many firsts.


No kidding.

First time leading songs, 2 at that. And sharing something with the congregation.

The praise leader was late, first time. He was never this late, but we forgive him haha. Im sure nobody wanted that to happen.

My parents came to MPCC for the first time!

I was very nervous. Like panicky. Cause I dont even know what to say.

And i think i forced my voice out abit. Throat hurts.

Tmr gonna go down to print notes.

Sigh.

post-exam break

HELLO.

I just ended my exam like last week.

So this week is kinda like my 1 week break, though I have work.

Am now teaching kids how to use computer, though I don't exactly support this very much, the kids are like 4-6 year olds and it is actually optional for the parents to put them through this programme. Oh well.

For sure I won't let my future kids learn computer so fast. Or get a handphone.

Anyways, Shu Wen's birthday was on Saturday night, kinda okay haha I guess? Didn't know a lot of people there except the people I went with to the party. hahaha.

Sunday was okay, did the registration for my laboratory class, at 10am IN CHURCH = = seriously the school has to learn to stop placing all this registering shit on SUNDAY MORNING. hello, people have church and you can't use handphone to access somemore. FAIL max.

Surprisingly, Moses has started to sing more and humming songs more, I think it's because he's learning guitar. hahaha we were like singing together randomly while waiting for his train at redhill to go back to tampines. So cute.Because last time I asked him to sing for me he didnt. Like refused. ALWAYS. It's nice to hear him sing(:

I met Ain on tuesday (16th July) for HTHT! Really good time spent with her, and everytime we meet up, it seemed that time passes so fast! >.<  Really gotta love this girl :) Break fast with her too! 

 Then before that was mum's birthday on the 12th! Blessed Birthday mum, even though you make me really mad sometimes and say things you don't mean when you're angry, but i still love you xx.

 Before carissa left, met up with kaifeng too! The meet up was a rollercoaster ride for me. EHEH.

Opening a new chapter in life

I don't even know if anyone actually reads this blog at all.. haha.

I'm leaving my NUS research job after a year.

Mixed feelings leaving, regrets and happiness.

Happiness - I don't need to do anything I don't want to do, am not gonna disclose any information of my work due to privacy issues and whatsnot, you will know what I was doing if you know me.

Regret - No stable job, no income. And job searching sucks.

In other words, I am jobless with part time schooling.

Sigh. I'm just gonna leave this all in God's hands, see where he's gonna take me next.

Somewhat excited, meeting new people, new colleagues perhaps?

I've had my fair share of good and nice colleagues here in NUS, they're really nice people, like the other lab peeps and my own lab peeps. Those that gossip, care, share news, share techniques, or sometimes ask if I need help when I look like I need help. haha. Really nice people, but all research. Some have even given me great advice of what to do in the future. Like I should work hard and achieve good grades even if in the end I decide not to continue in the science industry.

Oh, and I got my results for my first two modules, both are combined because it's like part one and part two of that module. I got a Distinction, first time in my WHOLE life, well, poly results weren't fantastic so this is like really HUGE. But I must say it's God's grace. Like, I was really hoping I would pass? I thought I would fail and I would be really really happy if I had enough marks to just pass. But all praise to God! :)

It's really a nice thing because like with the new year 2013, I started part time studies and started getting more involved in church, like serving as a back up singer for praise and worship. Really wasn't easy. But I felt that God came first no matter what, but my mum doesn't approve la. I don't exactly blame her because she doesn't understand.

My friend Jolene, finished her degree! And she got some award too! So happy for her! And she's doing honors programme? That's really good! hahaha feel very happy for her! First among ALL of us hahahaha.

New chapter, gonna keep God in mind and let him take the wheel :)

Got clothes from the previous shopping trip to bugis street and on another day www.hollyhoque.com had a flash sale! and i got 2 clothings! and it was so worthhh it.

rant

I decided to rant here, because if I were to rant on twitter or on facebook that person would get hurt.

But honestly that person needs a wakeup call.

People work and study because they have no choice. They need the money to support themselves and pay for their school fees.

This person, works to spend it all. Don't even need to pay school fees cos on scholarship. Spends money on idk what, and complains it is not easy to cope. whaaat.

So shallow. Some people work also can't study cos need support family.
